
Stuffed Veg Idli

Fluffy idlis hiding a spiced veggie filling inside – perfect for lunchboxes or when you want something extra with your regular idli.
Ingredients:
- Thaayar idli batter
- 1 Potato (boiled and mashed)
- 2 Tbsp peas (boiled)
- 1 Small onion (chopped)
- ½ Tsp mustard seeds
- ½ Tsp cumin seeds
- 1 Green chilli (chopped)
- A pinch of turmeric
- Salt to taste
- Oil
- Coriander leaves
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and cumin seeds.
- Add green chilli, onion, turmeric, and sauté.
- Add mashed potato, peas, and salt. Cook for 2 mins. Cool.
- Grease idli moulds. Pour half ladle of batter, place 1 tsp filling, cover with batter.
- Steam as usual for 10-12 minutes.
- Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
