Soft, crumbled idlis tossed in aromatic tempering make this quick, flavorful upma. A go-to recipe for busy mornings or as a light evening tiffin.
Ingredients:
- 5 Idlis (crumbled)
- 1 Tbsp oil
- ½ Tsp mustard seeds
- ½ Tsp urad dal
- 1 Green chilli chopped
- 1 Inch ginger chopped
- 1 Small onion chopped
- A few curry leaves
- A pinch of turmeric
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and urad dal.
- Add curry leaves, green chilli, and ginger. Sauté briefly.
- Add onions and cook till translucent.
- Add turmeric and the crumbled idlis.
- Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chutney or plain.
