A fusion snack where crispy fried idli cubes are tossed in a spicy Indo-Chinese sauce. Crunchy, tangy, and utterly addictive!
Ingredients:
- 6 Leftover idlis (cut into cubes)
- Oil for deep frying
- 1 Tbsp cornflour + 1 Tbsp rice flour
- 1 Tbsp oil (for tossing)
- 1 Tsp garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 Tsp ginger (finely chopped)
- 2 Tbsp onion (chopped)
- 2 Tbsp capsicum (chopped)
- 1 Tsp soy sauce
- 1 Tsp red chilli sauce
- ½ Tsp vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Spring onion for garnish
Instructions:
- Toss idli cubes in cornflour and rice flour. Deep fry till golden and crisp.
- In a pan, heat 1 tbsp oil. Sauté garlic, ginger, onion, and capsicum.
- Add sauces, vinegar, and salt. Mix well.
- Add fried idlis and toss quickly until well-coated.
- Garnish with spring onion and serve hot.
