A fusion snack where crispy fried idli cubes are tossed in a spicy Indo-Chinese sauce. Crunchy, tangy, and utterly addictive!

Ingredients:

  • 6 Leftover idlis (cut into cubes)
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1 Tbsp cornflour + 1 Tbsp rice flour
  • 1 Tbsp oil (for tossing)
  • 1 Tsp garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 Tsp ginger (finely chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp onion (chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp capsicum (chopped)
  • 1 Tsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tsp red chilli sauce
  • ½ Tsp vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Spring onion for garnish

Instructions:

  • Toss idli cubes in cornflour and rice flour. Deep fry till golden and crisp.
  • In a pan, heat 1 tbsp oil. Sauté garlic, ginger, onion, and capsicum.
  • Add sauces, vinegar, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add fried idlis and toss quickly until well-coated.
  • Garnish with spring onion and serve hot.
